Fadnavis Fast-Tracks ₹58 Cr Alandi Ring Road

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced a ₹58 crore Ring Road project aimed at easing traffic congestion in Alandi, a prominent pilgrimage destination.

Highlighting the heavy daily influx of devotees, CM Fadnavis noted that the town’s narrow roads are under immense pressure. The proposed Ring Road is expected to significantly improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. Alandi, which houses the samadhi of the 13th-century Marathi saint Dnyaneshwar, attracts thousands of pilgrims every day, making improved infrastructure essential.

CM Fadnavis also recalled the BJP-led Municipal Council’s introduction of a 10 MLD drinking water scheme in 2017 and announced a new ₹322 crore water supply project to further strengthen Alandi’s system, addressing the needs of its growing population and steady stream of visitors.
