The Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) has floated a tender for the construction of a 48.10 km four-lane greenfield highway with paved shoulders in Ujjain district.

Route: From Pitra Parvat (km 0.000) to Simhastha Bypass (km 48.100), Project cost: ₹1,237.21 crore, Implementation model: Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM)
Completion timeline: 24 months from contract award
Designed to improve connectivity between Indore and Ujjain, the project aims to enable better access control, reduce travel time, and boost transport efficiency in the region.
This greenfield corridor is part of Madhya Pradesh’s broader push to strengthen its road infrastructure and support regional economic development.
