Mumbai–Pune NH-48 Expansion: MSRDC Invites Bids for 6-Laning Project

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has issued a tender inviting bids to appoint a consultant for the six-lanning of the Mumbai–Pune National Highway 48 (old NH-4). Spanning approximately 110.8 km from Nigdi to Shilphata, the project aims to significantly upgrade regional road infrastructure. The selected consultant will be tasked with preparing a comprehensive Detailed Project Report (DPR) to evaluate current road conditions and chart the expansion roadmap. Once completed, the upgraded corridor will boost traffic capacity, streamline freight and passenger movement, and improve connectivity between Mumbai and Pune.
