RVNL Hits the Goal: Lowest Bidder for ₹967.93 Crore Rail Project

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a major infrastructure project awarded by East Coast Railway. The project involves the construction of third and fourth railway lines between Nergundi and Barang (22 km), as well as on the Khurda Road–Vizianagaram section (363 km), covering a total length of 385 km.

The scope of work includes the construction of key bridges under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode. These include Bridge No. 539 over the Birupa river, Bridge No. 544 over the Mahanadi river, Bridge No. 553 over the Kathjori river, and Bridge No. 557 over the Kuakhai river, all featuring open web steel girder structures.

The total project value is approximately ₹967.93 crore (₹967,92,66,661.70), inclusive of 18% GST.
