Gurugram Metro: Delayed Tenders Threaten 2029 Vision

Progress on the Millennium City Centre to Cyber City Gurugram Metro corridor has encountered setbacks that jeopardize its scheduled 2029 commissioning. The initiative is split into two distinct stages: Phase-I is actively underway following an August 2025 contract finalization, whereas Phase-II has yet to initiate its civil tendering process. Because full construction demands approximately two and a half years—succeeded by testing protocols—the delayed rollout of Phase-II severely restricts the window available to achieve overall project completion by 2029.
