Alstom Wins €107M Locomotive Maintenance Extension in India

Alstom, through its joint venture with Indian Railways, Madhepura Electric Locomotive Private Limited (MELPL), has clinched a €107 million five-year contract extension for the comprehensive maintenance of 250 WAG-12B electric locomotives at the Nagpur Depot. This renewal follows a highly successful initial four-year maintenance cycle, underscoring Indian Railways' continued trust in Alstom’s technical expertise. The Nagpur facility has established itself as an industry benchmark for operational efficiency, and this extended partnership ensures the sustained reliability, performance, and advanced upkeep of India's high-powered freight fleet.
