India will develop a semi high-speed double-line rail corridor between Ahmedabad (Sarkhej) and Dholera at an estimated cost of ₹20,667 crore, the government announced.

The project has been approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Railways and is scheduled for completion by 2030–31.

According to an official statement, the corridor will add around 134 km to the Indian Railways network and will be built using indigenously developed technology, representing a significant step toward expanding India’s modern rail infrastructure.
