Lucknow Metro Goes Underground: ₹1,877 Cr Tender Open!

The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has officially issued a tender for the design and construction of the Lucknow Metro Phase 1B underground corridor. Spanning approximately 6.70 km from Charbagh to Chowk, the ambitious project has an estimated value of ₹1,877.89 crore and a strict 36-month completion timeline.

The comprehensive contract encompasses the construction of seven underground stations alongside extensive civil engineering and structural works. The selected contractor will oversee architectural finishes, pre-engineered building (PEB) structures, comprehensive MEP services (water supply, drainage, and sanitation), external site development, and advanced firefighting systems. This expansion is a pivotal step in UPMRC’s mission to deliver high-speed, safe, and sustainable transit, driving Lucknow's long-term urban growth.
