DMRC Invites ₹1,373 Crore Bids for Red Line Extension to Haryana

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has invited bids for a ₹1,373.36 crore civil construction package for the Rithala–Kundli corridor being developed under Delhi Metro Phase IV.

The package, designated D2C-05, covers the construction of elevated and at-grade viaducts, depot connectivity lines, sidings, ramps and 11 stations on the upcoming metro corridor. It is one of the major civil works contracts planned for the extension of the Red Line towards Kundli and Nathupur.

The estimated contract value is ₹1,373.36 crore, inclusive of 18% GST, and the selected contractor will be required to complete the works within 36 months. The tender includes a ₹1 crore bid security, with the pre-bid meeting scheduled for 18 August 2026. Bid submissions will be accepted from 7 September to 14 September 2026.

The scope of work includes the design and construction of elevated viaducts, an at-grade viaduct, sidings, elevated ramps, depot entry and exit lines, and civil works for 10 elevated stations and one at-grade station.

The stations included in the package are Narela Sector G-8, Narela Sector G-7, Narela Sector G-6, Narela Depot Station (at grade), Narela Anaj Mandi, Narela Sector A-7, Narela Sector A-1, Narela Sector A-4, Narela Sector A-5, Kundli and Nathupur. The works cover the corridor section between Chainage 11,299.093 m and 26,704.685 m, excluding architectural finishing works and pre-engineered building (PEB) components.

The 26.463 km Rithala–Narela–Nathupur (Kundli) corridor is an important component of Delhi Metro Phase IV and has been approved by the Union Cabinet to strengthen connectivity between Delhi and neighbouring Haryana.

The corridor is estimated to cost around ₹6,230 crore and will be implemented by DMRC through its existing 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) involving the Government of India and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Once completed, the line will extend the Delhi Metro Red Line from Rithala to Kundli and Nathupur, with 21 stations planned along the corridor. The project is expected to significantly improve connectivity in North Delhi and the rapidly developing Narela–Kundli–Nathupur region, while reducing travel time between Delhi and Haryana.
