Yash Highvoltage is expected to begin trial production at its new greenfield transformer bushings facility in Vadodara by September 2026, with full commercial operations scheduled for the second half of FY27.
The project, involving an investment of approximately ₹153 crore, spans 2.5 lakh sq. ft. and will increase the company’s annual manufacturing capacity for Resin Impregnated Paper (RIP) and Resin Impregnated Synthetic (RIS) bushings by 6,000 units. A key focus of the facility is backward integration, with plans to manufacture RIP/RIS cores in-house—components that are currently imported—thereby strengthening supply chain independence and improving operational efficiency.
While Yash Highvoltage has traditionally catered to the domestic market, the new facility is strategically aimed at expanding its presence in high-value export markets. The expansion follows a strong FY26 for the company, marked by the successful in-house testing of its first 245kV oil-to-oil transformer bushing and the acquisition of Sukrut Electric.
These developments are expected to enhance the company’s technological capabilities and reinforce its position within the global transformer components industry.
