Vande Bharat Hub: Jharkhand's Rs 383 Crore Railway Upgrade!

The Railway Board has sanctioned a Rs 383.78 crore project to establish a state-of-the-art maintenance depot for Vande Bharat train coaches in Jharkhand.

Developed by the Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway, the new facility will be set up in the Loco Colony area by expanding Tatanagar station's existing coaching depot. Beyond bolstering high-speed train operations and boosting regional maintenance capacity, the project is expected to create valuable employment opportunities for local youth and stimulate economic growth in Jamshedpur.
