Sembcorp, Paradip Port Forge Green Hydrogen Superhub

Sembcorp, a leading renewable energy and urban development company, has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Paradip Port Authority (PPA) to explore the development of an integrated green hydrogen and ammonia ecosystem.

The MoU was exchanged during the India Maritime Week 2025 in Mumbai, in the presence of Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and PPA Chairman P.L. Haranadh. The collaboration aims to establish comprehensive infrastructure for the production, storage, handling, and export of green hydrogen and ammonia at Paradip Port.

This partnership builds on Sembcorp’s earlier MoU with the Government of Odisha to develop a green hydrogen facility with an estimated annual production capacity of 7.2 lakh tonnes. Sembcorp currently operates 19.3 GW of renewable energy across 11 countries, including 13 Indian states, and manages one of India’s largest wind energy portfolios.
