Powering Up: Waaree Invests Rs 192 Crore in New 500 MVA Plant

Waaree Transpower, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies, is scaling up its power transformer manufacturing capabilities with an investment of approximately Rs 192 crore to build a new 500 MVA, 400 kV production facility.

Designed to meet the surging demand for power transmission and renewable energy infrastructure across India, the plant will produce transformers across 132 kV, 220 kV, and 400 kV voltage classes. This strategic expansion broadens Waaree Transpower’s market scope beyond standard renewable energy applications into broader power infrastructure requirements, while seamlessly complementing its existing manufacturing portfolio to reinforce its position across the country's energy value chain.
