Midwest Energy has established a state-of-the-art, 1.2 GWh per annum battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. Backed by a Rs 100 crore investment, the plant is projected to generate Rs 1,000 crore in annual revenue at full capacity while creating up to 250 jobs. Capable of producing modular systems from 3 kWh to 6 MWh (48V to 1,500V) with integrated cell-to-container capabilities, the facility adheres to strict global safety certifications (UL 1973, UL 9540, and UL 9540A). The company has a strategic roadmap to scale capacity up to 6 GWh over the next three years to meet India's surging renewable energy storage demands.
