KPS3 Transmission, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL), has successfully commissioned the Khavda Pooling Station-3 (KPS3) under the Khavda Renewable Energy Park project in Gujarat.
Secured through tariff-based competitive bidding, the project marks a major step forward in strengthening inter-state transmission infrastructure. The station was commissioned on 4 August 2025, with the Date of Commercial Operation (DOCO) officially notified on 18 August 2025.
KPS3 is expected to play a pivotal role in grid stabilization and in enabling the efficient transfer of renewable power from the Khavda RE Park to major demand centres. “The successful commissioning demonstrates our capability in executing complex inter-state transmission projects on schedule,” a Power Grid spokesperson stated.
This milestone reinforces Power Grid’s commitment to advancing India’s power transmission network and integrating large-scale renewable energy into the national grid.
