NTPC Fires Up 9.9 MW Gujarat Wind Project on Oct 25

NTPC Limited has announced that it will commence commercial operations of a 9.9 MW wind power project in Gujarat on October 25, 2025.

In a regulatory filing, the company stated that the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for this partial capacity — developed by a group company of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), its wholly owned subsidiary — will take effect on that date.

The 9.9 MW unit forms part of a larger 92.4 MW wind power project located in Bhuj, Gujarat, underscoring NTPC’s continued expansion in the renewable energy sector as part of its clean energy transition strategy.
