Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six, a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), has commissioned an additional 125 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat, further expanding the company’s renewable energy footprint.
The plant was officially operationalised at 1:40 PM on September 1, 2025, following receipt of all necessary clearances. This milestone comes shortly after AGEL commissioned a 50 MW solar-wind hybrid project at the same site in August.
With this latest addition, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy capacity has risen to 15,990.5 MW. In June 2025, the company had brought 1,011.5 MW of blended renewable capacity online at Khavda, pushing cumulative generation at the time to 15,539.9 MW.
Khavda continues to serve as a strategic pillar in AGEL’s growth roadmap, forming a core part of the 30 GW Gujarat Hybrid Renewable Energy Park—set to become the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy facility. The site exemplifies AGEL’s commitment to scaling integrated solar and wind capacities in Gujarat and advancing India’s clean energy transition.
