ACME Solar Holdings, through its subsidiary ACME Urja One, has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with NHPC for its 250 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Tranche VI project.
The project will be connected to Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) substations and carries a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor (CUF) requirement of 40%. It also includes an obligation to supply 90% of peak power demand for four hours each day. The total investment for the project is estimated at approximately ₹3,700 crore, with nearly 40% of the required land already secured. ACME Solar expects the project to achieve a CUF of over 60%.
With the signing of this PPA, ACME Solar’s total contracted portfolio has expanded to 5,630 MW. In addition, the company has a development pipeline of 2,140 MW comprising projects that have been awarded or are currently under consideration.
ACME Solar is a leading renewable energy company with a diversified portfolio spanning solar, wind, energy storage, and hybrid solutions. It currently has 2,962 MW of operational capacity and 4,808 MW under construction, including 16 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
