Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has commissioned a high-capacity 890-horsepower dozer at its Amlohri Opencast Project in Singrauli district, Madhya Pradesh, strengthening its mining fleet and operational capabilities.
The newly inducted Komatsu dozer is expected to enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity in key mining activities such as overburden removal, land levelling, and haul road maintenance, enabling smoother and faster operations. Its deployment aligns with NCL’s focus on modernising equipment and improving performance across its projects.
Senior officials were present during the commissioning, underscoring the importance of continuous fleet augmentation to meet production targets. The addition of this high-powered machine is expected to support higher coal output while maintaining safety and operational standards.
NCL currently operates a fleet of over 160 dozers across its mining projects, reflecting its scale of operations and commitment to mechanisation and sustainable mining practices.
