West Bengal’s Chief Minister has stepped in to fast-track Indian Oil Corporation’s major petrochemical expansion in Haldia. Backed by active state support, IOC is moving closer to securing the 175-acre parcel needed to bridge its refinery and petrochemical operations. Having already locked in 85 acres via local authorities—and eyeing the Haldia Dock Complex for the remainder—the oil major is mirroring its winning playbook from Paradip. This crucial development milestone paves the way for the project to head to the board, promising a robust boost to local manufacturing and regional growth.
