HCL’s Rs 7,000 Cr Play for Critical Minerals

Hindustan Copper (HCL) has announced a strategic investment of over Rs 7,000 crore for the next five to six years to significantly expand its footprint in copper and critical minerals. Aimed at meeting soaring demand from the renewable energy and electric vehicle sectors, the roadmap includes aggressive exploration, mine revivals, and global asset acquisitions. Having already added 135.52 million tonnes of ore reserves over the past three years, HCL is positioning itself to build a robust, self-reliant foundation for India's long-term minerals and clean-energy value chain.
