Black Gold in Gujarat: RBM Infracon Strikes Oil at Nandej Field

RBM Infracon has reported a successful oil discovery at its Nandej field in Gujarat, marking a key milestone in its upstream operations.

The company drilled two wells—NJ134 (RBM-01), spudded on January 14, 2026, and NJ135 (RBM-02), spudded on February 14, 2026—both of which have been successfully completed. Together, the wells demonstrate a peak production potential of up to 100 barrels of oil per day (BOPD).

The NJ134 well, drilled to a depth of 1,763 metres, encountered two hydrocarbon-bearing zones—Kalol-VIII and Kalol-IX—and is currently producing around 25 BOPD during testing, with scope for further optimisation. The NJ135 well, drilled to 1,750 metres, identified the same zones and is already producing approximately 75 BOPD.

RBM Infracon holds a 66% revenue share in the Nandej field under a revenue-sharing contract with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. Encouraged by the results, the company plans to undertake additional drilling to scale up production and further develop the field’s potential.
