On 21 December 2025, the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM-Nagpur) and ONGC Green signed a collaboration agreement to advance research and capacity building in green and future energy.
Under the MoU, the two organisations will collaborate on initiatives related to environmental sustainability, renewable energy integration, carbon markets, energy storage, e-mobility policies, and leadership development. The agreement was signed by IIM-Nagpur Director Bhimaraya Metri and ONGC Green COO Harsh Nupur Joshi.
ONGC Green, the renewable energy arm of Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, aims to achieve 10 GW of green energy capacity by 2030, focusing on solar, wind, biofuels, and green hydrogen projects. The partnership seeks to combine IIM-Nagpur’s academic expertise with ONGC Green’s operational experience, supporting India’s net-zero goal by 2070, with green hydrogen highlighted as a key driver.
