The Ukni Deep OCM Opportunity: ₹42.68 Crore Tender Now Live

Eastern Coalfields has invited bids for handling, transportation, and mining services at the Ukni Deep Opencast Mine (OCM) in the Wani North Area.

The contract, valued at ₹42.68 crore, will be executed over a period of three years. The scope of work includes coal handling, crushing, loading, and transportation on a percentage-quote basis. The selected contractor will be responsible for deploying the required mining and transport equipment, such as tippers, pay loaders, and other machinery, either through ownership or hiring, in line with tender requirements.

The project also involves the operation of a mobile crusher unit along with stacker and conveyor systems to ensure efficient coal handling and movement. All machinery and systems must comply with the prescribed technical specifications aimed at improving operational efficiency through mechanised coal handling processes.

The initiative forms part of Eastern Coalfields’ broader strategy to enhance productivity and streamline mining logistics in the region. The deadline for bid submission is 15 May 2026.
