The foundation stone was recently laid for a Rs 57 crore water pipeline project in Armori taluka, Gadchiroli district, Maharashtra. The project, part of the Amrit Yojana 2.0 scheme, aims to provide tap water to rural households through the construction of a 91-kilometre pipeline.
Maharashtra’s Minister of State for Agriculture, Relief, and Rehabilitation, Ashish Jaiswal, inaugurated the project. He emphasized the importance of maintaining construction quality and instructed authorities to ensure timely restoration of roads following pipeline installation.
Once completed, the project is expected to significantly improve the drinking water supply in Armori, enhancing the quality of life for thousands of rural residents. The initiative also underscores the importance of coordinated efforts among public representatives, government officials, and citizens for the overall development of the district.
