In a significant step toward sustainable rural development, NABARD and MAHAPREIT have signed a landmark MoU to transform rural infrastructure across Maharashtra. The collaboration combines NABARD’s financial strength in green development with MAHAPREIT’s hands-on expertise in executing climate-focused projects.
Together, the organizations aim to revitalize community infrastructure and Panchayati Raj institutions by bringing renewable energy directly to public service centers, including government hospitals and technical institutes. The initiative will also turn agricultural waste into energy through bioenergy projects and deploy solar-powered micro cold storage systems—giving local farming communities the tools they need to adapt to climate change and thrive economically.
