Zoho Corporation has inaugurated a new research and development (R&D) campus in Kottarakkara, Kerala, strengthening its decentralisation strategy and commitment to fostering deep tech innovation in rural India.
Located in Neduvathoor, the facility was inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and is designed to accommodate up to 250 employees. The campus will initially focus on artificial intelligence and robotics.
As part of its broader deep tech push, Zoho also announced the acquisition of Kochi-based startup Asimov Robotics, known for developing robotic solutions for hazardous and repetitive industrial tasks. The acquisition is expected to significantly enhance Zoho’s capabilities in robotics and emerging technologies.
Zoho has further partnered with the Kerala Startup Mission to support its Deep Tech Product Studio initiative and has entered into multiple R&D collaborations with local startups and institutions to build a robust tech ecosystem in the region.
