Varanasi Mayor Ashok Kumar Tiwari and Cantt MLA Saurabh Srivastava have laid the foundation stone for Rs 78.26 crore worth of urban infrastructure and development projects in the Bhelupur Ward.
Spearheaded by a major Rs 72.71 crore initiative, the project includes laying a 17-km-long integrated sewer and drinking water pipeline network complete with formal household connections. Additional funds will be directed toward road construction and mini tube well installations. Together, these upgrades are designed to deliver uninterrupted clean drinking water while permanently resolving chronic issues with waterlogging and sewer overflows, significantly elevating the quality of life for residents in Varanasi's older sectors.
