Yogi Adityanath recently said that investment proposals worth more than ₹35,000 crore are currently being implemented across the six nodes of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor located in Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Agra, Aligarh and Chitrakoot.
The Chief Minister made the statement while addressing the closing ceremony of the three-day NorthTech Symposium in Prayagraj. He noted that these ongoing investments are in addition to projects worth ₹12,000 crore that had already been initiated by January this year in the corridor, one of India’s two defence industrial corridors, alongside the one in Tamil Nadu.
Adityanath also said the Uttar Pradesh government has created a substantial land bank to facilitate industrial growth. He added that the state’s defence and aerospace policy is providing incentives to investors to encourage greater participation in the development of the defence corridor.
