Bharat Forge Limited, headquartered in Pune, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art landing gear components machining facility at Mundhwa. The facility has been developed in collaboration with Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, marking a significant milestone in strengthening India’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
With the commissioning of this advanced plant, Bharat Forge becomes one of the first companies in India—and among a select few globally—to operate OEM-approved machining capabilities for landing gear components at scale.
The new facility is expected to enhance India’s participation in global aerospace supply chains and strengthen the country’s capabilities in high-value aerospace manufacturing, positioning it as a more competitive player in the international aerospace sector.
