Technip Energies India Debuts Captive Jetty at Dahej MMY

Technip Energies India has commissioned its first captive jetty at its Modular Manufacturing Yard (MMY) in Dahej, Gujarat, marking a significant advancement in the company’s large-scale modular execution capabilities. The facility commenced operations with the shipment of oversized process modules to the Netherlands for a global energy major, demonstrating its ability to handle modules weighing up to 4,000 tonnes without relying on road transport limitations.

The newly commissioned jetty is expected to transform project logistics by reducing transportation timelines from nearly 15 days by road to just 48–72 hours via sea. In addition to improving efficiency, the infrastructure delivers substantial environmental and operational benefits, including 60–70 percent fuel savings and a significant reduction in carbon emissions. Completed within seven months, the project highlights Technip Energies India’s engineering expertise and its focus on sustainable and efficient global project delivery.

The development further strengthens India’s role as a strategic manufacturing and export hub aligned with the ‘Make in India’ initiative, enabling the execution and export of complex international energy projects from Indian shores.

Commenting on the milestone, Davendra Kumar, Managing Director, Technip Energies India & APAC, said: “The commissioning of the jetty at MMY–Dahej and the successful dispatch of our first consignment mark a defining milestone for Technip Energies India. By enabling faster, more efficient, and sustainable execution at scale, our teams have redefined delivery excellence while maintaining world-class safety standards. We see India emerging as a strategic hub for Technip Energies, playing a pivotal role in our global project delivery network and advancing the spirit of ‘Make in India’ on the global stage.”
