Steelbird Hi-Tech India has announced a capital expenditure of ₹50 crore for the current year to enhance production capacity, strengthen R&D, and modernize operations across its nine manufacturing facilities.
This investment is part of the company’s broader roadmap to launch 75 new helmet models over the next five years, addressing rising demand for safer, certified helmets. Steelbird currently holds a 35% share of India’s branded helmet market and operates six manufacturing units in Baddi and three in Noida, supported by offices in Delhi and Italy, as well as a digital hub in Panchkula.
“Each helmet takes nearly two years to develop. We’re scaling operations to meet the growing demand with safer and smarter designs,” said Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director of Steelbird Hi-Tech India.
The company supplies helmets to leading OEMs including Hero, Honda, Yamaha, and Royal Enfield. Among its latest innovations is the SXE helmet, which features advanced TPE impact absorption technology. Steelbird targets sales of over one crore helmets this year, up from 87 lakh in the previous year.
