Aequs, a contract manufacturing company focused on consumer durable products and aerospace components, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu to establish a new aerospace manufacturing facility in the state.
As part of the agreement, Aequs and its partners will invest ₹1,900 crore over the next ten years to develop the facility, which will manufacture aircraft engines, landing gear, and related systems.
The proposed unit will be integrated into a larger ₹4,000-crore Aerospace & Defence manufacturing cluster spread across 250 acres at SIPCOT Shoolagiri in the Krishnagiri district. The development is expected to significantly strengthen Tamil Nadu’s presence in advanced aerospace manufacturing.
