MMRDA has completed a major milestone on the Airoli–Katai Naka flyover project with the successful installation of key steel girders on its up and down arms in Airoli.
Once fully operational, this infrastructure upgrade will cut travel times by 35–40 minutes and reduce the distance between Mulund and Katai Naka by 7–8 km, seamlessly connecting Thane, Navi Mumbai, and the Kalyan–Dombivli belt. The newly installed arms provide direct access between the Thane–Belapur Road and the corridor, eliminating cumbersome detours.
Project Phases:
Phase I: Connects Thane–Belapur Road with the old Mumbai–Pune Highway.
Phase II: Links the Mulund–Airoli Creek Bridge with Thane–Belapur Road (Now Complete).
Phase III: Extends the corridor towards Katai Naka.
