Lokesh Announced Major Investments & India's First Quantum Computer

During a high-profile roadshow in Bengaluru, Andhra Pradesh Minister for ITE&C Nara Lokesh announced two major investment commitments aimed at strengthening the state’s growing technology ecosystem.

The ANSR Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government to establish a GCC Innovation Campus in the Madhurawada IT cluster in Visakhapatnam. Additionally, the Sattva Group will invest ₹1,500 crore to develop a 30-acre mixed-use Sattva Vantage Vizag Campus, which will include commercial, residential, and tech infrastructure.

Lokesh also revealed that India’s first quantum computer will be installed within the upcoming Quantum Valley in the state, expected to go live within the next six months.

The ANSR campus is projected to create 10,000 high-skilled jobs over five years, while the Sattva project aims to generate over 25,000 direct employment opportunities.

Highlighting Visakhapatnam’s rapid transformation, the Minister noted it is emerging as India’s largest data city, with Google building its first and largest data centre outside the United States. He further underscored the state's commitment to attracting top-tier IT firms, citing subsidised land offerings extended to companies such as TCS and Cognizant.
