Hyderabad’s Tech Crown: UBS Launches Massive New GCC Hub

D Sridhar Babu, IT and Industries Minister of Telangana, inaugurated the new Global Capability Centre (GCC) of UBS in Hyderabad, underlining the city’s growing prominence as a hub for global enterprises.

The launch of the new centre reflects Hyderabad’s strong ecosystem for deep-tech engineering, advanced software development, and scalable technology operations. UBS also announced plans to recruit nearly 3,000 professionals over the next two years as part of its expansion strategy in India.

Matthias Schacke, Country Head for India at UBS, noted that Hyderabad remains a key growth destination for the company due to its skilled talent pool, supportive government policies, and robust infrastructure. The new facility is expected to further strengthen UBS’s capabilities, particularly in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence and advanced digital technologies.
