India’s first Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, is set to attract ₹10,000–12,000 crore in investment across two phases. Speaking at an investors' meet in Mumbai, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia described the facility as a natural extension of the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, noting that investors stand to receive ₹7,000–8,000 crore back in incentives. The dedicated hub will focus on 5G/6G equipment, semiconductors, and optical fiber production to strengthen the nation's high-tech manufacturing ecosystem.
