Fujifilm’s Next Big Shot: Semiconductor Expansion in Gujarat

In a move to tap into India's expanding chip ecosystem, Fujifilm India has signed an MoU with the Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM). The announcement, made at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, outlines Fujifilm’s plans to assess setting up a semiconductor materials manufacturing base in Dholera.

By collaborating with the Gujarat government and private sectors, Fujifilm aims to bolster India’s domestic supply chain at a time when sectors like AI, automotive, and electronics are driving a massive demand for advanced semiconductor components. The partnership aligns with the country's broader goal of establishing itself as a self-reliant global chip manufacturing powerhouse.
