Bye-Bye Traffic Jams! Rajiv Chowk Set for Major 2-Flyover Makeover

To tackle chronic congestion at Rajiv Chowk—a major bottleneck connecting NH-8, Sohna Road, Civil Lines, and Subhash Chowk—the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has approved the alignment for two new flyovers. The proposal includes a dedicated two-lane left-turn flyover for traffic moving from Delhi toward Sohna Road, and a second-level, three-lane right-turn flyover above the existing NH-8 elevated road for Sohna-to-Delhi commuters. NHAI has instructed the project consultant to draft the Detailed Project Report (DPR), clearing the path for construction.
