Air India has launched its Centre of Digital Innovation (CODi) in Kochi, focusing on advancing customer-facing digital technologies and harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data capabilities to modernize the airline.

The centre was inaugurated by Tata Group Chairman and Air India Chairman, N Chandrasekaran, at the Caspian Techparks facility in Infopark Phase II, Kochi. He was joined by Air India’s CEO & MD Campbell Wilson, Chief Digital & Technology Officer Satya Ramaswamy, and Group Head for Governance, Regulatory & Compliance, and Corporate Affairs, P. Balaji.

Chandrasekaran highlighted the importance of AI-driven, data-led digital interfaces in enhancing customer engagement and service delivery. He encouraged the team to develop digital assistants capable of anticipating passenger needs while also equipping frontline employees with advanced tools to enhance guest experiences.

Wilson emphasized that empowering employees with digital solutions would elevate customer service standards, while Ramaswamy noted that Air India CODi has already made significant contributions to improving customer experiences and operational efficiencies under the airline’s Vihaan.AI transformation initiative.

CODi will play a pivotal role in developing next-generation AI solutions to streamline operations and enhance passenger interactions, reinforcing Air India’s commitment to digital innovation.
