The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has floated a tender valued at ₹137.28 crore for slope protection and ancillary works related to Bridge No. 164 on the Awangkhul–Noney section of the Jiribam–Imphal new broad-gauge (BG) rail line.
Located in Imphal, Manipur, this critical project aims to ensure structural stability and safety along one of the most challenging segments of the under-construction line, which is a key component of the initiative to enhance rail connectivity in the Northeast region by linking Jiribam with the state capital, Imphal.
The scope of work includes specialized slope protection systems to mitigate risks of soil erosion, landslides, and related geotechnical hazards, alongside other supporting construction activities to protect the bridge infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted rail operations.
The last date for bid submission is September 23, 2025.
