Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reviewed progress on the state’s advanced Bulk Drug Park in Jambusar, Bharuch district — a Rs 3,900 crore project aimed at strengthening India’s pharmaceutical self-reliance.
Spread across 815 hectares (2,015 acres), the park is being developed by GIDC under the Centre’s 2020 Bulk Drug Park Policy. During his visit, the CM inspected key common infrastructure works worth Rs 550 crore, including approach and internal roads, compound walls, precast stormwater drains, water supply systems, and effluent disposal facilities.
Scheduled for completion by March 2027, the park will provide state-of-the-art infrastructure to attract bulk drug manufacturers and reduce import dependence.
Additionally, in Bharuch, CM Patel inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 34 development projects worth Rs 637 crore, reinforcing the state’s commitment to industrial and infrastructure growth.
