Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stones for the National Forensic Science University (NFSU) campus and a Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on 22 June 2025.
The upcoming NFSU campus will be developed on 40 acres of land allocated by the state government, with an estimated investment of ₹400 crore fully funded by the Central government. Adjacent to this, the CFSL will be established on a six to seven-acre site, further strengthening the region’s forensic and investigative capabilities.
The event was attended by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, and senior administrative officials. As part of his visit, the Home Minister is also scheduled to inspect a BSF camp in Narayanpur, interact with security personnel and local residents, and review ongoing development initiatives in the region.
