Aster DM Healthcare and Quality Care India Ltd (QCIL) have announced a ₹1,661 crore investment plan to expand healthcare infrastructure in Kerala, adding 1,315 hospital beds across the state over the coming years.

Aster DM Healthcare Chairman Azad Moopen said the company will independently add 834 beds, including a new 454-bed hospital in Thiruvananthapuram aimed at enhancing access to advanced medical care in the region.

Following the expansion, the combined Aster-QCIL network in Kerala will comprise 11 hospitals with a total capacity of 4,575 beds. The companies said the investment will strengthen healthcare delivery in the state and expand access to specialised tertiary and quaternary care services.

The expansion is part of the group's broader strategy to build a stronger healthcare network and meet the growing demand for high-quality medical services in Kerala.
