Devadula Scheme Goes 24/7 to Maximize Godavari Water Storage

The Telangana government has ordered 24/7 operations across all 10 pumping units of the Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme to maximize water storage in its 22 reservoirs. Reviewing the project alongside Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that leveraging current Godavari River inflows will allow the state to lift 0.23 tmc of water daily. The meeting also outlined plans to accelerate Phase-III works and reaffirmed the government's commitment to National Dam Safety Authority protocols at key barrages.
