The Heart of the Machine: Atomberg’s New Industrial Frontier

Atomberg Technologies is moving into core component manufacturing as part of its strategy to diversify beyond finished consumer appliances and build indigenous capabilities for the appliances and industrial ecosystem, said founder and CEO Manoj Meena.

The Pune-based firm, widely recognised for its energy-efficient BLDC ceiling fans, has started developing key components such as motors, controllers, and compressors used in appliances like air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines. This initiative is being driven by its engineering arm, Atomberg Innovation Private Limited (AIPL).

Meena noted that what began as an effort to rethink everyday appliances through innovations like BLDC motor technology has now progressed into creating advanced engineering solutions within India.

He added that the company has steadily developed in-house expertise in areas including motor design, embedded systems, and controller engineering. Its teams are now focusing on system-level integration to deliver solutions that are efficient, reliable, and scalable.
