BEML Builds Bilaspur Hub: Boosting Defense & Industrial Logistics

BEML Limited, a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has laid the foundation stone for its Central Warehousing Centre in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. The new facility is set to become a strategic logistics hub, aimed at streamlining supply chain operations, reducing costs, and meeting the growing demand from customers across BEML’s core business verticals.

In an official statement, the company noted: “The upcoming Centralised Warehousing Centre in Bilaspur is designed to significantly enhance customer service by enabling dispatch of critical spare parts within 24 to 48 hours of request.” Spread across 2.63 acres, the facility will be fully digitalised, featuring a barcode-based inventory management system to enable real-time tracking, precise storage, and efficient material processing.

Strategically located, the Bilaspur centre will cater to major institutional clients such as Coal India subsidiaries, SAIL, NTPC, MOIL, Hindustan Copper, and other key stakeholders. The initiative aligns with BEML’s long-term strategy to build a technology-driven logistics network, strengthen operational readiness, and improve service responsiveness across both the defence and industrial sectors.
