Assam’s Green Leap: CM Inaugurates ₹55 Crore AAC Plant in Tinsukia

In a major step toward eco-friendly infrastructure and regional industrial growth, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated Lightbricks' new green Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) block manufacturing facility in Hapjan, Tinsukia district, on October 29, 2026.

Representing an investment of approximately ₹55 crore formalized during Advantage Assam 2.0, the facility stands as Tinsukia’s largest private manufacturing investment in 15 years. The initiative aims to drive sustainable construction and scale up state manufacturing capacities. The inauguration was part of a two-day regional tour during which the Chief Minister evaluated several critical infrastructure projects, including inspecting operations at Tinsukia Medical College and Hospital.
