Major Milestone: BHEL Launches Tender for NALCO Damanjodi Expansion

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has invited bids for comprehensive piping and allied works at the NALCO Damanjodi Unit 6 project, a key component of the 5th stream alumina refinery expansion.

Scope of Work:

The package includes Power cycle piping, low-pressure (LP) piping, and critical steam piping, Steam turbine generator sets along with auxiliary systems, Enabling works such as piling and pile cap construction, Civil works, including foundation development, Structural steel fabrication and erection, Electrical and Control & Instrumentation (C&I) works

The scope is integral to the project's steam generation and process operations, making it a vital part of the refinery’s expansion efforts.

Strategic Significance:

This tender marks a major milestone in the execution of the NALCO expansion project, and reinforces BHEL’s commitment to timely, high-quality project delivery in partnership with National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO).
