Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects, backed by Global Infrastructure Partners India, has inaugurated Bihar’s first and only Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Bihta, approximately 40 km from Patna. This milestone marks the establishment of the state’s first dry port and signifies a major step forward in Bihar’s industrial and economic development.
The Bihta ICD is poised to streamline logistics, ease transport bottlenecks, and strengthen Bihar’s manufacturing and trading sectors. It offers direct access to international shipping containers, customs clearance, warehousing, and multimodal connectivity via rail and road to key gateway ports. Designed as a single-window logistics hub, the facility provides comprehensive, end-to-end supply chain solutions under one roof.
Beyond logistics, the ICD is expected to attract both domestic and foreign investment, enhancing Bihar’s role in India’s global trade framework. It forms part of Pristine’s broader network of rail-linked terminals across India and Nepal, including locations such as Kanpur, Bhaupur, Burkunda, Ludhiana, Siliguri, New Rewari, Aligarh, Gangadhara, Chennai, and Birgunj.
With this launch, ICD Bihta is set to foster a dynamic and sustainable import-export ecosystem, catalyzing industrial growth and bolstering Bihar’s global trade ambitions.
